To become successful, we need to have the passion for success. This ultimately means having the desire to reach deep within ourselves for strength and positivity. In all aspects of sport, having the will to be stronger than you can imagine. Is a necessity for true success in all our endeavours, on and off the field or in the gym. To be the best we can be, takes a little more than just a thought. It requires commitment to action!
This post is all about developing, harnessing and channelling the passion to achieve success!
The passion for success.
So, where do I begin? Well believe it or not, the beginning is right the beginning. Back to when you were a child, during these tender years all we ever thought about is success! Success in life, achieving all the things we now almost believe is impossible! The passion for success is within us all, asleep because we no longer believe our dreams and aspirations can come to life.
Life has a funny way of making us forget what we feel and makes us place all of our focus on what we can see. This is a disadvantage to us all. So, when it comes to achieving our desires in the sport, we fall short due to the lack of drive. I would like you to also know that I believe we can awaken the strength, that lies within us. Which will enable you to push deeper and focus on the end result, rather than the beginning.
Baby takes its first steps.
In life, we are told that if we work hard we can achieve everything we want. Now, who am I to tell you this wrong! Don’t worry, it’s not wrong! We are what we believe, this is what defines us and how we live our lives. Taking part in any sporting activity and being able to perform at your highest level, will require you to understand you!
Running, weight training or any other sport that might take your fancy. Will need you to display strength and determination to be successful. We must develop the passion for success, to be successful. Training in sport takes strength, the strength to make the right decisions that will govern your body. If, you’re already involved in a physical regime you’ll know exactly what I mean.
I know that training like a champion, also means living like a champion. Now, that doesn’t mean that I cannot have some pleasures, but everything has its limits. These limits are set by my desire for success. These are the same desires, I urge you to adapt and execute in your training or competition life.
The passion for success defined.
I wake from a good nights sleep, I climb out of bed and make my way to the bathroom. It’s clear in my mind what my day entails and what I need to do. It’s a training day and that makes me think of hard work and pain! Now, the average person would probably dismiss these thoughts or postpone them. But I’m not built that way, the only way forward for me is to tackle my desires head on!
There’s no macho way of looking at this, it really is all based on the built in desire to be a champion. To be able to compete with the best of the best! Your strength isn’t just defined by how you conduct your physical activity. It is also based on how you eat, sleep and think. Your success is defined by how you conduct your life. Do you remember the saying, “You only get what you put in”. This is a saying that is so true and should be remembered with every step, punch or push you make!
Strength comes from within.
So, what keeps you going mile after mile? In most cases, it’s a commitment, a commitment for a lost loved one or a charity in memory of a loved one. But has you can see the drive and strength for success is alive, but only called up on when we are grieving! This is a waste of our ability, please don’t get me wrong, we all need to grieve and we all do it in our own way. But to achieve the best from all our endeavours, we need to tap into what makes us tick.
It’s a journey that you’ll enjoy taking. Connect to your inner self and believe me you’ll be very surprised in what you find! Now, I’m here to help you understand you, so let me point you in the right direction. The feeling you’re searching for, is a feeling between fight/flight and grief. Once you connect to it you’ll feel a tingling sensation of adrenaline surging through you! Your next big step is to learn how to connect at will, but I’ll discuss that in another post!
My conclusion to the passion for success.
I believe we all have the ability to achieve our goals, but to achieve that we need commitment and drive. We all have the passion for success within us, our only problem is not being able to connect to it. I hope you find some direction from this post and are open to discovering your hidden talents. If, you’ve enjoyed this post and it as helped you to achieve the goals you dream of, please share it!
