How To Lose Weight.
Almost everyone somewhere in their life will want to lose weight. So, this post is all about how to lose weight and the importance of having a healthy lifestyle. This truly is the magic key that most people do not have to unlock the secret to weight loss.
Firstly, I would like to start by saying we are all unique, our bodies and our metabolisms are different. But I believe this little magic key fits all body types and if you read on you will understand how and why this works.
What are the dangers of carrying excess weight.
We all need food and without a well-balanced intake of quality food, we risk a variety of illnesses. The risks are:
- Diabetes.
- Heart disease.
- Cardiovascular disease.
- Joint problems.
Your body is a wonderful thing, it does so much without our immediate intervention and believe it our not it still has the ability to do so much more. The big problem is you! Yes we are still learning how to get the best from ourselves! Eating too much of the wrong foods can lead to problems.
How To Lose Weight With Diabetes.
This is easily avoidable, be mindful of what you eat and make sure you take regular exercise. I would suggest you eat well – balanced meals. However, If you are unfortunate to have diabetes, don’t think it’s the end of the world. I have heard of many top sporting athletes who have diabetes and have still managed great sporting feats.
These athletes are well-known all over the world but not many people know that they have diabetes. A well known boxer, who converted to Islam… Yes. You guessed right, the great Muhammed Ali. Now, who would have ever guessed that!
Live life, but take everything in moderation. It’s that simple! This isn’t rocket science, our bodies need fuel – FACT! Fuel comes from what we eat and drink – FACT!
Eating excessively or drinking excessively without taking regular exercise can lead to diabetes.
Heart disease – cardiovascular disease.
In reality this is a heart attack. Both terms are very closely linked. Your heart is a very vital organ and we are born with only one. Being overweight will cause a series of health problems. Suffering a heart attack is as serious as it gets!
This is usually when an artery to the heart is blocked, this isn’t something that can happen overnight – it takes years for the artery or arteries to become blocked. The main cause is from fatty deposits that builds up on the wall of the arteries and over time restricts and eventually creates a blockage of blood, which in turn deprives the heart of oxygen.
Joint Problems.
Up until now I have only focused on how to lose weight, with terminal issues in mind. But there’s also the problems that being overweight can cause to your joints. The joints at risk are:
- Knees.
- Hips.
- Back.
Any signs of pain is your bodies way of telling you something is wrong and this can be easily avoided by a lifestyle change.
Knees.
The human body has quite a few joints, the knee joint is a hinge joint and is very important to our stability and movement. Being overweight will cause additional pressure and stress to this joint, resulting in pain, Arthritis or Osteoarthritis.
Hips Pain.
Our hip joint is a ball and socket joint. It’s very strong but again carrying excess weight can cause pain and discomfort in this area. Which can lead to Osteoarthritis.
How To Lose Weight With Back Pain.
Being overweight can cause severe back pain, in result of carrying excessive weight. This is quite a broad statement because the back also covers spine and muscles. But your lower back in general will suffer from having to carry the additional weight.
Maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
This really means eating quality foods at the right time to achieve the best outcome. This needs to be combined with daily exercise, if you’re overweight start with simple walks, it’s free. And If you’ve got a good level of fitness try skipping or running. The biggest problem you will encounter here is, “WILL POWER.”
We are creatures of habit and taking away all our creature comforts, will cause us to be uncomfortable. But please remember If you haven’t had a workout in a while, obtain you doctor’s approval before you commence.
How to lose weight – Here comes the magic!
There’s no easy way of saying this but if you really want to learn how to lose weight and keep it off, then you must make changes to your lifestyle! Now, here’s a little philosophy for you: We all hate change! It’s a known fact, hence the term, “If it isn’t broke, don’t fix it”
Which I must agree in some cases I totally agree with this, but when it comes to your health there should never be any compromises or short cuts. Here’s a list of foods that you should be consuming or considering.
Choosing the right food and drinks.
Break your food down into categories of nutrients:
- Protein. – Meats, fish, beans, lentils, eggs.
- Carbs. – Pasta, rice, potato, yams.
- Vitamins & minerals – Vegetables, berries, broccoli, fruits.
- Fluid – water, fruit juice in moderation.
Making the right choices for a healthier lifestyle.
I would like to finish this post with a quick recap of what I have been talking about. It is very important to eat and more importantly to eat properly, by that I mean healthily.
The best way to obtain great results is to adapt a new lifestyle. Eat a well-balanced meal, if you must snack, keep it healthy. Leave out the chocolates and cut back on the alcohol.
Never skip on breakfast, eat a sensible lunch (Some would say eat like a king) make your evening meal of a medium size but full of nutrients.
Exercise is very important to a healthy lifestyle but you’ll achieve a lot more if it’s done on a regular basis. By this I mean a minimum of 3 times a week, if possible daily!
My conclusion on how to lose weight.

Make a change for a healthier you!
Your article is very important for many people to read, and I hope a lot of people find it. So many people these days are showing off their excess body fat with great pride as if it’s a healthy lifestyle choice. While I don’t think people should hide in shame, it’s important to follow your advice and eat and drink properly and get appropriate exercise. Please keep sharing your advice with the online world!
Definitely being overweight is not just a beauty concern. The link between major health diseases and overweight has never been so clear as nowadays.
“Maintaining a healthy lifestyle” is easier to say than getting it done my friend. There is a regular, generally accepted normal lifestyle and others that everybody knows is the best one for you, but you either can’t afford or don’t have the time to convey with.
Drinking much more water is very important to us. Thank you very much for a great list of recommendations. It’s very kind of you devoting a post on this subject and encouraging us to do better for our own good!
